I made $5.00 playing my first gig. I was 12. I was hooked. My dad worked for the Missouri State Parks, and music was part of my life. I played in the 2nd generation of "the color of time", and was already working in radio. You would never believe me if I told you all the musicians I was lucky enough to play with, but I learned from them all, country, rock, bluegrass, top 40, and southern gospel. With job changes I found myself in Virginia, "high&dry", "the bandits", "contra-band", just to name a few, plus a chance to play with some then rising stars. Next, on to TV in Georgia and part of "the grapevine", we were the back-line-band, and the opening / closing act for 100's of star-filled shows. A unique TV job took me to the outer banks, and I found the band "slyde", before making Charlotte my home, and playing with bands like "the persuraderz" & "al gardner and the news".
